Traditional and Roth IRAs

Deciding where to invest funds from a tax-deferred retirement plan rollover can be confusing.  Our wealth management team can give you peace of mind by rolling those funds into an Individual Retirement Account (IRA).  An IRA is an excellent tax shelter for individuals who want to save for retirement.  You may make contributions to the IRA, which then are held and invested until distribution is made.  Income earned on your investments in the IRA is tax-deferred until withdrawn at retirement.  As an IRA Custodian, we can help manage the IRA investment within the context of your overall financial picture.

Self-Directed IRAs / IRA Rollovers

A self-directed Individual Retirement Account is a great way to maintain the tax-advantaged status of the funds from lump-sum distribution from a pension, 401(k) or similar tax-deferred retirement plan. It provides for the investment of funds in stocks, bonds and mutual funds in addition to bank CDs.

Converse County Bank also serves as custodian for IRAs with alternative investments such as Real Estate, and various other unique assets or business interests.

A Roth IRA is a nondeductible account that features tax-free and IRS penalty free withdrawals for qualified distributions after a five-year holding period.
